Hi guys, it’s your boy Kunmiiiieeee yeaahhh, uhmm this is the first time I am using this medium (pun intended) and it’s actually a very cool one, has a very easy to navigate interface, some unique features but I can’t still find the draft icon or whatever so I had to re-write almost everything (back to my gist, this is not an app review abeg)

Bruuuhhh, it was a really tasking week to be honest, it put a lot of my skills (teamwork, inter-personal relationship, cognitive, adaptability, creative and also my leadership) to test and funny enough I enjoyed every bit of it

ARRIVAL

I got to the converging point on the Redemption Camp around 1:53 pm on Thursday, 26th of February with my guyyy Emmanuel after delaying him for like 30 minutes (I’m not sorry bro haha) then we were piloted to the venue of the Bootcamp, then the registration p and all was done, we were briefed and I had a little bit of chitty chatty with some fellow participants, then something funny happened during Pastor Femi’s briefing which later ended up in Emmanuel being the Head of House and guess who was chosen has assistant lmaooo? ME!!!!

Yeah, that’s Emmanuel (Black) and I (Red)

DUTIES

Part of Head of House and assistant duties was to wake everyone in the hostel up for devotion and workout every day by 6 a.m. I totally understand that sleep is necessary but omo Emmanuel almost abuses the privilege (this guy dey crash heavvyyy), so to get Emma up before 6 a.m to wake up the house, I needed to be awake from like 5:20 am cos waking Emma up takes 10 minutes, no cap (Femi is my witness). Then everyone is expected to be out by 8:30 a.m for classes but Nigerians can be very difficult people to work with, you’ll see someone still on a towel by 9 a.m which made Leo (Emmanuel) lock them up one day which caused a little back and forth between him and Biggie in class one day lmaoo. What of the every 30 minutes “please come and open the hostel, I forgot one ear of my earpiece in the room” calls, I thank God for patience cos we really needed it

CLASSES

Our classes on the first day were very interactive, eye-opening and super fun cos I mean learning is always fun innit, we had classes from 9 am- 1 pm straight and it was 4 straight hours of utmost concentration because man needed to get the basics right, then I think the third day (Saturday) wahala started, for the first time in years there was no light on the Redemption camp due to gas shortage bla bla bla, learning became difficult, really difficult. In as much as Nigerians may be difficult people, I really had to commend the innovation both the organizers and participants came up with, really smart minds, there was no light still lol but there was electricity provided to charge our laptops, did I mention of our how superb our teacher was. Noooooo, Switch really sabi the thing. He had answers to every question and also taught UI/UX in a way that even a secondary school student will grab, from understanding User Experience to actually designing the User Interface, Switch delivered smoothly, I really love the man!

PROJECT

Oh, so for our project work, we were divided into groups and Femi, Leo and I found ourselves in the same group (First problem lmaooo). Then the second challenge I had was working with total strangers lol, it was really difficult for me but when we started brainstorming bro, I felt really comfortable around them, they are very smart and expressive guys. Our group surely got the work done and might be somewhat unlucky to not be part of the final 2 but everything happens for a reason (I guess).

Group 3

Earnest (Yeah not Ernest)
Femi Supersport (Our workout instructor)
Florence (Always ready to argue lmaooo)
Bee bee and Femi my bro (The couple)
Ayo (Mrs never always on seat)
Leo

I love you guys forever and yeah we really need to work on that uDecide app.

CONCLUSION

I can’t finish this whole p without talking about the food, omo at a point where almost everything wasn’t working at the bootcamp, there was only one constant, FOOD! There was always food and it always excess, so hunger wasn’t ever a thing at the bootcamp at all and all thanks to Esther for her patience and big heart, I love you mami.

Then to the UI/UX class, you guys are family for real. Yaz, Emmanuel, Victory, Tito, Tosin, Ande, Quadri (Salah), Sholay,Okiki, Agidi (DJ stubborn), Abraham, both Timis, Kunle and everyone else. I love you guys and see you at the top soonest.

To my ‘brainstorming’ brothers lmaooo, Bolu and Leo, thank you for the good times we shared, I will forever cherish those moments and I really wish we get to hang out very soon.

Thank you Future Clan and the Incubator for the springboard into the tech community officially, I really appreciate the platform.

To you my dear reader, please follow me and watch this space for my progress in this journey, Thank you.
